Dr. Miller-Rowe M.B.B.S., F.A.A.P. is a Medical Practioner and Paediatrician with Private Practice in Montego Bay. She graduated from the UWI and CREIGHTON Medical school in Nebraska, USA.

Dr. Miller-Rowe is also a composer, published poet and classically trained pianist . She is one of the Founding Members of JACAP.

She began composing in 1990 when her “Literacy song” was used during International Literacy Year. Her song “Montego Bay” was in the top ten in the Montego Bay song contest which was shown on CNN. She also played steel pan on campus while at the University of the West Indies.
In November 2005 she received a National award for her Project of a gift package of a DVD with Music Videos, the matching CD and a booklet “How Music Affects us” from the Scientific Research Unit and the Ministry of Science and Technology in the category of Health.

Dr. Miller has been the forerunner in bringing to the attention of the public the importance of music for healing and learning by means of workshops and appearances on TV and radio both in Jamaica and Internationally. Her artiste name is WINMIL.

Her music has been used by a Reiki Master, in Spas all over the world, in the Arts in Medicine Program at the University of Florida, USA , On Air Jamaica, in hotels and in Doctor’s and Dentist’s offices and has been played on many radio stations worldwide.

She has taught music and fine arts to a school for the gifted and used music to get the children to express their feelings and problems both in their art and their writings while the music is played. General behavior in the school was noted to improve.

After pursuing a course at CARIMAC in Videography and Editing, Dr. Miller-Rowe started using videos of nature scenes and combining them with her music to make DVDS for relaxation enhancement in Stress Management.

She has several CDs and Music videos on DVDs, and plans to expand and republish her book ”How music affects us” where she discusses music as a healer, and its physical, emotional, physiological, intellectual, spiritual and social impact on the human body. Her latest CD is titled “Affirmation for Life” where she narrates to very soothing and spiritual music - affirmations of peace, love, health, abundance and creativity. This album is being used in an ancient Monastery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Miller-Rowe has presented several papers on Music in medicine to her colleagues and has lectured at many wellness events on the use of music for stress management. She is an assistant lecturer at the University of Tehnology in the Alternative medicine program there.
