Welcome to JACAP - The Jamaica Association of Composers Authors and Publishers

Queen Kamarla was born on July 9th 1983 to mother Carmen (Ms. Rose) Rainford and father Francisco Pitter. Because of abuse, financial difficulties and neglect, Ms. Rainford left Mr. Pitter taking Kamarla and her other two children, Steve Rainford and Marlon Grant with her. It was very difficult on Ms Rose as she ended up living in both Trench Town and Arnett Gardens(Jungle).

As a child Kamarla attended various schools and never graduated or even achieved a high school certificate. As a result of poverty she left high school after grade nine. While going to school she participated in various school talent shows, and soon realized music was her calling. The encouragement she received form her peers was overwhelming.

Many artists spanning different genres inspired Queen Kamarla from the greatest reggae Bob Marley to the greatest pop artist, Michael Jackson, however, the respect and adoration she has for Garnet Silk, makes her esteem him above others and as such, she holds him as her musical mentor.

Kamarla has been singing since she was a child. Also at the age of fifteen she got pregnant and took a break form the music fraternity to raise her two children Octavia and Kevon. She also took care of her niece Kelly-Ann. It is while caring for the kids that she practiced to craft her style, which is cultural reggae music.

The Queen while working with Mr. Sugar Minott and Horace Andy she came up with the idea of forming her own Label: Catalyst Entertainment Group to indicate transformational entertainment.

Birth Name: Tyrone Gray
Artiste: Meggabling:

Right from the start, by the type of songs he sings, it’s clear that we’re in the presence of someone special. As told in his award winning song "OLD TIME RUBBA DUB", "Meggabling", formerly known as "Vijahlante" is on a positive move.

Born in Parish of Kingston to a family of seven children, Meggabling spent most of his childhood in the Parish of St Andrew, Jamaica. He began doing music at the age of eleven, when he was then called, Mega Witz.

Like many other great Jamaica artistes, Meggabling delivers roots and reality material as well as poetry and love songs, served with the ingredients, styles and love that he has for reggae music.

This balance approach affords him the honour to being accepted in most quarters and not just among one set of admirers. He has done a lot of ground works over the years and is very talented, which comes across in songs like "War and Violence", "Old Time Rubba Dub", "Time Table Of Love", "Crime Scene Again" and most currently "Quart & Flask", which is getting rotation on local radio, and elsewhere.

Meggabling was born to serve Reggae Music, but he needs to get the attention he deserves.
