Christopher Maarko defines his character as an authentic lyrical reggae artiste, with a burning desire for creating music. He is the forth of five siblings and was given the name Christopher Marko Earlington at birth.
As a youth he grew up in Johnson Hill Dist. a few miles from the historical cruise shipping town Falmouth in Trelawny. Although currently residing in Ft Lauderdale Florida he still stays true to his roots. Before Christopher Maarko ventured on his path for music his educational status began between 1986 - 1996 at: Salt Marsh All Age School, and William Knibb Memorial High both in Trelawny.
The stepping stone for Christopher Maarko’s musical journey began when he used to sing popular dancehall songs in class and at school concerts where his audience was very receptive. His talent stood out the most to his childhood friend Dathan Blagrove A.K.A. Pollo also an artist, who encouraged him to pursue a musical career. With much convincing, Pollo told him, “with such talent we could write one hit song, buss and be millionaires”.
The push led them to embark on their first journey to Caveman Studio from Trelawny to kingston. Shortly after he formed the SET IT AFF trio with: Conrod Webb, Blagrove and later Adrian Hines.
Christopher Maarko’s mainstream career commenced in the year 2010 with his single Make A Change produced by Germaine Jackson and Silver Bird Production. At this time Maarko’s stage name was Stuff. He followed with In The Streets, Baby U and Live My Life and as a result led to worldwide radio rotation.
He remains persistent working on his musical catalog. With an addictive hook Christopher Marko’s musical style spans from reggae to dance genre.
